But Doris and Otto clung to their faith in God and each other as they dealt with their grief. Later, grandchildren were a great source of joy! Life changed dramatically when daughter, Julene, and her family were killed in a traffic accident in August 1982. Annual vacations at the lake and/or travel trailer excursions were a highlight each summer. She supported her daughters in numerous school and church activities. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. where they resided the rest of their married life. Shortly after they had a home built at 512 Judy Blvd. 1946, they settled in Harvey where Otto joined Robert Graumann in dental practice.Ī daughter, Julene Kay, was born Maand another daughter, Brenda Jean was born Sept. Following Otto’s discharge from the Army in Sept. Doris again worked in her dad’s medical office when Otto was sent overseas for duty as a dental officer in India for 18 months. ![]() She traveled with her husband for about a year after he entered the U.S. They lived in Kansas City, MO where Otto was finishing up his doctor of dental surgery degree.
